Yes I have already used my sheet music, quite a bit actually. So here are my answers to your questions:
Question: For what purpose did you purchase the music sheet book at this time?
Answer: I purchased it solely for fun, just for my entertainment and for the joy of playing the songs I loved from the movies.
Question: Are there any songs that you especially like or enjoy? If so, please let us know which songs are your favorite.
Answer: I've had a lot of fun playing all of the songs. My top three songs are 'Merry Go Round of Life- Howl's Moving Castle', 'Reprise(Futatabi)- Spirited Away', and 'Path Of The Wind(Kaze no Toorimichi)- My Neighbor Totoro'. These were always my favorites songs to listen to, so naturally they were my favorite to play as well. I thought that the arrangements could have been a little more complex and definitely longer though. Then again, I haven't had the opportunity to play with an accompanist yet so I'm probable just missing the layers of music that the piano part undoubtedly contributes to the pieces. There was also a piece that I was surprised I liked so much, and that was 'A Town with an Ocean View- Kiki's Delivery Service'. Having not remembered the soundtrack of Kiki's Delivery Service to be that memorable, I had pretty low expectations for it, but it was just so much fun to play. The syncopated rhythms and strange key made it just perfect on the difficulty scale, and it's so much more fun when you have to work at something a little, especially when the product is so nice.
Question: Would you recommend the book to someone? If so, what would you say about the book?
Answer: Yes I would recommend the book to anyone who has a deep love for Miyasaki films and their music. It's fun and it had almost all of the songs that were my favorites from all of the different movies and their soundtracks, aside from 'The Promise of the World' and 'The Boy Who Swallowed a Star' both songs from Howl's Moving Castle and pieces that I would have loved to be in this music sheet book. I would also say that the CD that comes with the book isn't very helpful because it isn't a recording of just your part and just the accompaniment that goes with it. It was the same songs as the ones in the music book but with multiply instruments playing multiple parts so it's hard to hear what your certain solo arrangement will sound like in comparison with that, but the sheet music was well printed, easy to read, and a good interpretation that was fun to play and will last for a long time.
I hope my feedback helped
